Description: Day program for developmentally-disabled deaf/hard of hearing adults focusing on development of self-expressive skills.

Program provides the following services:

Employment Training (Volunteer Activity)
Visual Communication – American Sign Language and Non-verbal Communication
Computer Training
Creative Expression (Arts)
Self Advocacy
Computer Training

Community Integration Program activities take place in the following settings:
Community Settings
Computer Lab

Center-based Program outcomes include assisting individuals to:
Improve expressive communication skills
Improve self-advocacy skills
Improve knowledge of vocational related self-care issues
Acquire labor market exposure and basic pre-employment training
Make independent choices and develop interests
Improve knowledge of community resources Program provides direct care staff-to-consumer ratio of 1:4

Program hours
Monday-Thursday 8:30AM – 2:00PM Friday 8:30AM – 11:30AM Eligibility:
Have a primary diagnosis of a developmental disability
Deaf or hard of hearing, deaf-blind, or have a unique communication disability and may benefit from the program
Age 18 or older
Possess independent self care skills
Ability to self medicate
Not endanger self, others, or property
Express a desire to participate and learn American Sign Language
