Important information to the Chico Deaf Community from NorCal's CEO

Dear Deaf and Hard of Hearing Community members, friends, families, and partners of NorCal Services in Chico/Butte County:

Due to economical reasons effective October 1, 2009 we will be closing the physical location of our outreach office in Chico, California. Last fiscal year we received a ten percent cut in our budget, and since that time, it has been a strain on NorCal's overall budget. The time has come where I am forced to make decisions which impacts how we will provide services.

The Board of Directors, & Chair, Delmar Cheeseman joins me in expressing our deepest appreciation to the Chico Outreach Advisory Council for their volunteerism, and Kim Dethlefsen-Koon's, all for their hard work and fundraising efforts supporting for this outreach office! I know that Marysville and Redding outreach offices would welcome your expertise and help in those areas as well. Feel free to contact Kim or Stacey anytime!

Although the Chico office will be closed after the end of September, Deaf and hard of hearing residents of Chico/Butte County needing assistance can still receive services such as advocacy & employment assistance, and communication/interpreting services in the following locations at any time during the week, Monday through Friday. General hours of operation: 8:30AM to 5:00PM (closed for lunch -12Noon - 1:00PM) except where noted per office:
